For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
About Steve
Steve was born on September 1, 1968, just 5 and 1/2 months into his mother’s pregnancy. He weighed two pounds, four ounces, and was only twelve inches long. Because of difficulties during the birthing process, he and his identical twin brother Kevin stopped breathing several times during the event. As a result Kevin went to be with the Lord that very day.
At a young age, Steve was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. The doctors told his parents that he would never walk, graduate from High School, or become a functional member of society. Thankfully God had better plans for his life.
Steve endured some surgeries on his legs as a young boy and eventually did learn to walk. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord at the age of nine. As a young high school student, Steve felt God calling him into the ministry.
After graduation, he went on to earn a BA in Music from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Since December, 1993 Steve has been serving God in full-time evangelism. In addition to this, he presently serves as Staff Evangelist at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, in Colonial Heights, Virginia.
